Anchor Resident Member

GlobalPittsburgh brings together globally-minded people in the Pittsburgh region through membership activities and programing. We coordinate visits for international delegations through the U.S. Department of State, and help attract more international students.

Building New Hope has partnered with a worker owned coffee cooperative in Nicaragua for more than 12 years marketing their organic, shade grown coffee in the US. We also operate two schools for underserved youth and sponsor a high school scholarship program.

Founded in 2003, the Portiuncula Foundation supports efforts to advance health and well-being in communities where the Sisters of St. Francis live and work. The foundation manages the restricted gifts and charitable funds formerly held at the Pittsburgh-based St. Francis Health Foundation, St. Francis Hospital of New Castle, and St. Francis Medical Center in a manner in keeping with the original intent of the donors.

The Somali Bantu Community Association serves the Somali Bantu community in Allegheny County Pennsylvania by providing language interpretation support, educational support, economic development, case management and immigration services, and other efforts to maintain the culture and value of the community.

Goal 7C Training

Goal 7C Training is made up of high impact volunteers, Greg and Janet Smith. Their main interests are micro finance and WaSH related issues, and have extensive experience overseas in teaching in the areas of clean water, sanitation, and hygiene. They are certified by Lifewater International as field trainers in the areas of Community Development, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene.

Hekima Place

Hekima Place is a home for orphaned and vulnerable girls in Kenya, many of whom have been orphaned due to the devastating impact of HIV/AIDS.
Founded in 2005 by Director Kate Fletcher, Hekima Place is now home to 86 girls who range in age from infants and toddlers to university students.

Global Wordsmiths is a Social Enterprise that provides language translation and interpretation services, as well as language access consulting and training. Our goal is to create and advance a culture of language access awareness, so that translations and interpreters will become more widely available for individuals who need them in order to access services, to integrate and to thrive.

Tomorrow Global, LLC, is a woman-owned boutique health policy research and strategy firm that serves as a trusted advisor, learning partner, and thought leader to organizations worldwide. Our white papers lay the intellectual foundations for a happier, healthier world by identifying and assessing institutional opportunities to advance health equity within and between regions; sustainability across administrations and generations; preparedness for systemic risks; resilience against unforeseen shocks; and governance as accountability.
