How did I get here?
I completed my graduate work in international studies and conflict resolution at the University of Denver before moving to Pittsburgh in 2010 to join the staff of Amizade. Previously, I worked with the Denver-based non-profit organization, Critical Mass Leadership Education and as an English language teacher in Hungary after receiving my bachelor’s degree in psychology and cultural anthropology from the University of Michigan.
Why am I at the Switchboard?
I discovered my love of global travel and learning as an exchange student in Chile when I was just 16. Since then I lived, worked, studied and traveled to over 50 countries including a trip around the world with Semester at Sea, a semester in Berlin, Germany, and a year teaching English in Hungary. Throughout my career I have worked with youth and adults from around of the world helping to introduce them to cultural exchange and global travel, primarily through my work with Amizade. As part of the team that helped launch The Global Switchboard as a project of Amizade, I am excited to join the organization full time to continue the valuable work of fostering effective global engagement and inclusive dialogue in my adopted hometown of Pittsburgh.
