How did I get here?
I completed my bachelor’s degree at the University of Pittsburgh in cultural anthropology and history before beginning my position as an Americorps VISTA in 2019. While completing my degree I attended and then worked as staff at a cultural anthropology field school in Malta, where I was responsible for facilitating quality cultural exchange and appreciation among students. During my year of service, I was the Economic Development Coordinator at All for All responsible for running the Pittsburgh Connector Program and working to create equitable job opportunities for immigrants and refugees.
Why am I at the Switchboard?
During my time with All for All, my work in immigrant and refugee inclusion was oriented towards fostering connections between organizations and communities resulting in more inclusive and equitable dialogues, policies, and practices. I had the pleasure of working with community organizations and leaders deeply investing in making Pittsburgh an equitable home for all. I am excited to join The Global Switchboard team and to continue the work of global engagement through programming, partnerships, and engaging the Pittsburgh community.
